All we have to work on to find the suspect in the Carrie Brown murder of 1891, besides the witnesses description, is what George Damon said:
His first name is Frank.
He's about 30 years old.
He's a sailor and/or a farmhand.
He arrived by boat. Damon said he was an immigrant who arrived a month before the murder.
He's possibly Danish or from another Scandinavian.
I looked at every Scandinavian Frank who came into the immigration entry point of Castle Garden (including Franz) and excluded all of them. Then I had to look at sailors coming in on merchant ships. If he was on a British or Canadian merchant ship he would be on the All Canada, Seafarers of the Atlantic Provinces records. It's quite likely that the suspect came on a British ship because it looks like he was very interested in Jack the Ripper and he apparently made his escape to the Caribbean instead of someplace like England where he might be known.
All Franks were excluded except for this one who is the Working Suspect. Frank Anderson of Sweden. He matches George Damon's Frank (excluding the immigrant story which was obviously a lie and simply for Damon's self-protection). He also matches the suspect in the newspaper named "Yungstreet" Anderson who fit witnesses description and confessed to being at the East River Hotel the night Carrie was murdered.
